Default ls2 on ls1

would the ls2 intake manifold fit the ls1 and if it did is it better then the ls6 intake my car came with.

most definatley YES. Cann I have your old 'less effective' LS6 mainfold. I bid $50 to take it off your hands.

I could of sworn that I saw a test somewhere where the LS2 intake lost out to the LS6?

If you do the intake switch don't let yourself get ripped off. You can sell the LS6 intake for more than $50

it is worse than the ls6 intake. i doubt by much, bit it is worse. better than stock though, of course.

You could swap your LS6 intake out for an LS2, but it will cost you a lot of money to lose HP. The LS2 intake seems to be on par with the LS1 intake. Your LS6 is way better than the LS2. The LS2's gain something like 8rwhp and 11ft.lb. when going to an LS6 intake.

Im not sure that all of those articles are true. I have cut open both intakes, and I see no reason that the ls6 intake would be better than an ls2. The ls2 has a bigger throttle body opening, larger plenum volume, and larger runners. I ported my ls2 intake and matched almostly exactally the power that i made when i had a fast 90mm intake . I have a dyno graph to prove it.
