Will Turndowns Work on Electric Cutouts?
Will Turndowns Work on Electric Cutouts? I"m getting 2 QTP electric cutouts. I'm going to put them both right after the header. Only problem is, there's not only clearance issues in that spot on the driver's side, but there is a bend in the pipe. There is also a fat clamp in the way. So unless the exhaust shop can custom make a cutout for that bend, i'll have to put it down near the I pipe, right before the "Y" forks merge. Problem there is, both cutouts will be facing out the passenger side.
I was wondering if a turndown would work? Instead of down, i could point it back toward the outside of the Driver's side. How would i go about doing this with the QTP cutouts?

pics of cutouts Pics of my old dual elec setup is near the bottom of the page. Pay attention to the road, you will have hardly any ground clearance and will prolly drag on almost everything. And look forward to putting the cutouts back together on a regular basis. qtps are bad to vibrate apart because of the crappy hardware they use. The motors will come apart and drag down the road, if you are lucky all of the gears inside wont be lost in the process. Money could be spent better else where, IMO.
