Installed LS6 intake
Installed LS6 intake I installed my new LS6 intake Saturday morning. It wasn't too bad. I didn't break anything either. The only thing that gave me slight trouble was putting the intake back on and having to worry about 4 different things at the same time. Other than that it was pretty simple. The only thing that I wish I had was an lb/in torque wrench for tightening the intake bolts down. But I did without it. I basically just hand tightened them in two steps. On the last round I got a certain feel for it and tightened them about the same. By the way, I used the directions on the "LS1HowTo" website.
One of the best parts about the install was starting the car and realizing everything was running great! I had to break it in real good of couse, so I took it down the road!!! A few kicks and a couple gallons of gas later I was perfectly satisfied with it.
I could definitely tell a difference between the LS1 and LS6 intake for sure. The LS6 intake climbed up the RPM's a lot quicker, without any trouble. It was definitly a nice gain! Now I can't wait for the cam.
