Default Y Pipe Hitting Under Hard Acceleration

Everything installed have Mac 2002 headers w/ Y Pipe on a4 ws6.Under hard acceleration I noticed a slight banging under car and slight steering wheel rub from driver header.Do I need some new polyurithane motor mounts bushings? Thanks for input.

get a prothane trans mount. Stops the banging most of the time and takes about 45 min to install.

I think thunder racing stocks the prothane mount. Autozone can get you the energy suspension mount. I went with the prothane mount based on the review on this board. Cost me $45.

I had the same problem with mine, and bought the prothane mount, still works!

I had the same problem. I took a torch and got the pipe nice and hot, then squeezed it a little with a pipe wrench. I did it just enough to flatten the top of the pipe to keep it from thumpin the floor pan.

You can always weld a used valvespring to the body between the y-pipe...

That's the cheapest route.

The tranny mount should do the trick. I put poly motor mounts on to, and that baby ain't moving at all.
