Default What is this sensor?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this.

Anyway, I had a friend of mine work on removing the wiring harness from my 02 LS1 for rewiring and such. While we were finishing pulling it off, I noticed a sensor attached to the harness. He doesn't remember removing it. I couldn't find anywhere for it to go. It seems to have originated from somewhere on the driver's side of the motor, possibly the head area. Does anybody know where this sensor goes and what it does?
Top part is the sensor, light gray part is the harness.

Closeup of the tip of the sensor.

Approximate location guessed from the wire harness location.

that goes in your air lid, it measures airflow you need to put that back in your air lid or it will throw a code and prolly make the car run shitty.

That explains why it wasn't connected before. Thanks.

I don't understand though. Why the need for two air sensors? Isn't there already a MAF connected to the TB?

MAF measures air flow, this measures air temp.

Ah. Thanks.

Second:
What's this thing? It's connected to the fuel lines, and the throttle body.
