Pink wire = switched 12v source.

A rather large one can be found under the steering column that is part of the ignition, and another runs to the ASR switch if you have that.

thanks..the pink wire coming off the asr switch is good to use for a gauge? I wasn't sure and someone in the stereo section said it wasn't, but i'm dying to hook up my gauge already.

When I installed my electric cutout I ran the power wire to the 15 AMP radio fuse - the lighted switch turned off when I opened the door.

It depends on how much current draw it has...the ASR switch pink wire is pretty small, and if I'm not mistaken, has a pretty small fuse feeding it. If you want the best source IMO, you need to use a blade connector and tap in to the fuse panel on the driver's side of the car. There is a blank spot labeled "IGN" or something like that...that is a switched 12V source. It is currently running my wideband O2 sensor. You do need to make sure you fuse whatever you have running off of it though for safety reasons.

thanks..i saw the small blank **** e for ign...what kind of fuse does that take? i hooked up a aerocrasft interceptor scan gauge to the asr switch and its workign fine..I even took it for a 45 minute ride and turned the asr on and off a few times and it didn't effect the gauge or anything....but i wouldn't mind rewiring it back to the fuse panel to do it right.

It can take any kinda fuse you want it to...just get an inline fuse, and wire it in. It can't possibly draw much current, especially if it is working fine through the ASR switch.
