newbie pulley questions

I hear people always saying to get new aftermarket pulleys. What pulleys do i need to get? harmonic balancer,idler,tension,under drive and alternater? or just certain pulleys? Also how hard to install,how long? Any special tools needed? Is there really any hp gains? Thanks

Most of the time people just replace the crankshaft pulley and from what I hear it usually produces gains of around 10 HP. Most people replace it when they do cam swaps b/c you gotta take it off anyways

Look for ASP pullies, I'd say they are one of the most popular.

They free up horsepower that accessories are robbing. The pully will be lighter, smaller.
