Swapping LS intakes - is this possible?
Swapping LS intakes - is this possible? I will swapping a truck LS motor into my 1970 Camaro and I have read in other posts that the intake on a truck LS motor is taller than than the intake on a non-truck LS motor and that I will not be able to use my stock hood due to the taller intake on the truck motor.
My question is this: Can I swap a shorter, non-truck LS intake onto a truck LS motor? If so, is this a straight forward swap or will I be required to change a bunch of other items?
One other question:
What year/type truck should I be looking for to get the donor motor from?

It will fit, but one caveat, if you're using the truck accessories (waterpump alternator etc) you may have to do some mods to get it to fit, head over to the truck section, they have more info on what might need fitting
