Swapping LS intakes - is this possible?

Swapping LS intakes - is this possible?

I will swapping a truck LS motor into my 1970 Camaro and I have read in other posts that the intake on a truck LS motor is taller than than the intake on a non-truck LS motor and that I will not be able to use my stock hood due to the taller intake on the truck motor.
My question is this: Can I swap a shorter, non-truck LS intake onto a truck LS motor? If so, is this a straight forward swap or will I be required to change a bunch of other items?
One other question:
What year/type truck should I be looking for to get the donor motor from?

if im not mistaken you can put an ls1/ls6 intake on the truck motor without a problem

yes you can do that

but are you sure it won't fit under the hood? it's not that much taller and it flowes better that an ls1 intake.

It will fit, but one caveat, if you're using the truck accessories (waterpump alternator etc) you may have to do some mods to get it to fit, head over to the truck section, they have more info on what might need fitting

the only reason why the truck intake wont work on 4th gen f bodies is the cowl area.
i think you would be good using the stock truck intake on a 2nd gen
