Default Cutout? long term effects

Just wondering if there are any Negitive long term effects to running my car with the cut out open all the time?

Heat and residue will mess with the undercarriage. But if I install a cutout I'll put a dump fitting on there so the exhaust is aimed down. Other than that, I don't know. Maybe a tune would be a good idea.

I'm planning to go for some pacesetter LT's, a Texas performance catted Y, and instead of spending money on a catback I'll install cutouts for track use.

I haven't decided which cutout I'll be using but I like the one with the blade as opposed to the butterfly style. I think Doug's makes the blade style.

Which cutout do you have?

DMH Electric Cutout is what I have...I have been very happy with it thus far!

a tune? jsut for a cut out? that like getting a tune for a lid or catback.
