New exhaust installed!!!!!!!
Sounds bad@$$ @ WOT,NO drone @any rpm and probably not loud enough@ idle for some of you guys though. .Also no rasp, this is just what I was looking for and I bet when you guys hear it some of you will be interested also. I was skeptical before I heard it because you don't hear much about Bassani on here but I guarentee some will consider it when I get some sound clips.

Had the same problem with my SLP y-pipe a few years back. I got the guy at my local exhaust shop to take a big rubber exhaust mount, and put a piece of the steel rod (the kind they usually use to hang the exhaust from the rubber mount) thru the rubber mount. He then put the rubber mount in between my floorpan and the y-pipe, and welded the steel rod to each side of my y-pipe to keep the rubber mount in place. No more banging.

the poly mount is stiffer than the stock rubber mount and will restrict the movement of the motor more. as for the ride, you probably won't even notice it, well except no more bang.
the link or strap you are thinking is probably where people take a ratchet tie down strap or equivalent and physically strap the motor down. possibly same effect, probably cheaper, but the poly mount is well worth the time to put it on and you don't have to worry about people tellin you that there is a tie down strap in the engine compartment
