I absolutely LOVE the Hooker catback. I have had it on both of my LS1 cars. It sounds even better once you have a cam. It is tame if your foot is, but watch out when you step on it, cause it gets loud quick, and the sound is sooo sweet.

Price, quality, looks, and performance, you can't beat this setup.

both are good systems. and i like either equally and have had both on my car.

the rumbler is great with stock manifolds and cats and has a great sound. but with LT's and ORY its just annoying.

the hooker is real mellow on stock manifolds and cats and with LT's and ORY it has a very distinct sound.

i have hooker right now and couldnt be happier.

cats wont make THAT big of a dif.
having the chambered muffler is just a lot different than a bullet style.

and both have their ups and down.

as far as the noise, you wouldnt be satisfied using cats to reduce rasp with LT's and rumbler

If you want it loud= rumbler.
If quiet is your thing=hooker.
Hooker is a little to quiet for my taste but it does sound good.

Hey guys, my car is stock (stock manifolds and no headers), but I wanna add a nice and aggressive sound to it, would just the Hooker AeroChamber muffler do it, or would it be better for me to get the whole catback?

What about the TSP true duals with Sweet Thunder?

What do you recommend me?

I haven't heard the Rumbler in person...IMO though it wouldn't sound the best with ORY/LTs. My Hooker sounds pretty nasty at WOT.

I have the tsp rumbler.I have had the magnaflow and heard the hooker.I went with the rumbler because I live in cali.It is preety loud.I have 2.73 and in the highway around 75 to 80mph speeds and 1800 to 2000 rpm it has a drone but it is tolearable and can still here the radio. The only thing I kind of dont like if im in a red light and i take of regular the car next to me always think Im racing but other than that It has a unique sound and its light. The other thing I like that it gurrgles like a old muscle car.

rumbler with a catted Y-pipe makes a hige difference over an ORY. when i first installed my LT's and put the ory on it sounded like a jake brake anything over 1500rpm. when i got the cats welded in and got the tune their was no rasp what so ever. it sounds awesome at idle, screams at wot, and beleave it or not i dont have verry much drone in my car at all. but the thing is, now im regreting not getting TD's. so my vote would be rumbler to TD's (even though its not a choice)

I just installed my new hooker cat back setup last night (fit well) and ditched my old leaky flowmaster cat back. If you compare the two...the flowmaster looks more free flowing with its dual 3" outlets compared to hookers 2.5" outlets, but everyone says that it's not. I am a little concerned how the outlet of my tsp ory necks down to nearly 2.5" where it connects to the cat back system. I also think that the flowmaster sounded just a tad better with my pacesetter lt setup as well.

One more quick note is that I'm not too fond of the hooker exhaust tips...I'l probably just buy some single chrome tips insteaad.

Might as well get the whole catback since the muffler comes with it...then you have the best of both worlds...more sound and better flow.
