in many ways you get what you pay for.

Stainless steel is def the better bet if
a) you can afford it
b) plan on keeping the car for a while

having said that, the pacsetters have a great reputation, and offer excerlent value for money.

Personally, I'm going for some coated Pacesetters.

with the fitment headaches of Pacesetters....Go with the Kooks. Power will be slightly better with the Kooks even in their cheaper version header. The collectors are the difference.

I just installed my pacesetters this weekend and have been very impressed with the sound, fit, performance. I'd say go for it, you'll be glad you did

I Had Pacesetters On One Of My Old Setups And Now I Have Kooks. I Think The Pacesetters Are The Best Bang For The Buck. Awsome Header And I Had No Complaints With Them. They Have Great Ground Clearance As Well. If You're Tight On Cash Go With The Pacesetters, You'll Love Em. If Cash Doesn't Matter Then Definately Go With The Kooks, You'll Love Em More.

i dont think there would be any whp difference of more than 2-3 hp, and that can go either way. doesnt the ceramic coating on pacesetters keep underhood temps a bit lower and hold the heat inside the headers to maintain a higher rate fo flow?

Tried both on the dyno before and nothing special on the kooks except the r easy fitting and install compaired to the pacesetters. Honestly had some hard time with the pacesetters , but still worth the buck.

ya thats is an advantage for the pacesetters against the kooks and I can feel it now in my car.

There is a huge debate over stainless versus coated mild steel. do a search, you'll find more than you care to. Stainless holds heat in better than mild, coating the mild tips things the other way, but coating is... well coating, stainless is all the way through and doesnt flake off. Glad you're doing research before buying, but you will still be stuck with the decision $500 for pacesetters, $1000 for kooks. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

i have flowtech's... the OTHER budget header... i've had them for two seasons and they're rusting pretty quickly. if the coating on the pacesetters flakes off or anything, then you'll have them rusting as well.

if i had the money, i'd get the kooks THEN get them coated. oh baby. imagine the underhood temps.

I cant believe some of the bullshit that comes from some ofthe members on here.

You might find a little better built header than a pacesetter thats made out of stainless but you will not find a better fitting one. Just no way. They go in too easy and clear everything by too much to fit any better.

If you got enough money to whereyou can afford everything you want then get the kooks or whatever other high priced stainless header. I know if I had it like that I would. Instead I have pacesetters and I wouldnt go through the trouble to take them off to swap a set of kooks in their place if they were gave to me.
