ory stands for off-road y-pipe ( the pipe that sits between your headers and the rest fo the exhaust

its the y-pipe that comes off of the headers. the stock one is flat on both sides and very restrictive in air flow. ory= off road y-pipe. if you have long tube headers your stock ory won't work as its too long for the headers. won't match up.

ORY is def cheaper way to go, (don't have to buy cats) but flow isn't too different considering you can get cats that flow pretty well. no cats makes bad rasp on certain exhaust so keep that in mind.

Just to set the rumor straight: The stock y-piping does NOT pose a significant restriction, regardless of the pancake shape! The cats pose a minimal restriction on a stock car, and more so on a modded one. The pancake pipe is ugly, but NOT restrictive. This is tested and proven.

Do a search for before and after dyno's of the SLP replacement pipe. This pipe replaces the pancake section of pipe, and is a very nice piece. Most have dyno'd 0-2rwhp, and some have even shown (-)numbers. Do a search and check it out. This makes sense also, because there is nothing restrictive about that piece of pipe. The pancake shape is not a big deal, and the diameter is still as large as a round piece of pipe.
