hollow cats = rasp?
hollow cats = rasp? I have a magnaflow muffler welded in place of the stocker. Have Kooks longtubes and high flow cats. I keep getting this cat low efficiency code. My front o2s are new. Just wondering if the cats are plugged alittle or something and was wondering about hollowing them out. I just don't want to get any rasp or anything or have it sound like crap.

I had one of my cats gut itself and now I have a ton of rasp. Do you have the rear O2's tuned out, or are you using O2 simms? If not I've seen guys with aftermarket cats throw codes for them on the stock tune.
My setup with FLP headers , straight pipes and corsa exaust only rasp's out from 2000 - 2500 rpm then it just sounds bad ***

King of rasp here ... have MAC's with ORY and recently had Random Tech 47500 10.5" bullet cats welded in each side of the ORY ... lost maybe 4-6 RWHP but the 2000-2500 rpm rasp is 100% gone and waaay worth it ... sounds awesome. These cats were the metal ones 'cause I've blown a couple of ceramic cores out in the past.
