1st pics!!!! C5 Accessory Drive on an LS7!!!
I only had 30 minutes to play tonight and think we've all made this a little too difficult and without trying to slam GM I couldn't believe my eyes tonight Of course it doesn't take me long to come up with what I need so I slapped on a C5 accessory drive onto the front of my LS7 crate motor and low and behold....it's virtually a perfect fit as far as the spacing! Granted I didn't tighten all of the bracketry down tight or put the PS pulley in place but measuring the set-back on the belt tensioner revealed the same 4" setback from the right cylinder head as the waterpump belt location +/- 1/32"!!!
I think we're in business here when you look at the quick couple of pics!!!

Good job, John! That's great. Maybe that won't be so painful afterall.
Wish I knew more about the LSx series. Is that an A/C unit down low? What about putting the A/C (low) and ALT (high) on the other side?
Thanks,

Hardware's the easy part
John,
What are you going to use for a PCM and wiring harness to run your LS7 crate motor, that's the problem I'm interested in hearing the answer to.

You're welcome guys!
What I believe you're looking at is the Power Steering Pump without the pulley on it (the pulley was removed to access the bolts that hold the pump to the bracket). From the factory, the A/C is on the passenger low side.
I ordered a Peterson system complete with catch can for under $500.
