I voted sound since my car is a DD. I drive the car all the time so I hear the car all the time. Having a nice sounding catback/exhaust is a must for any type of muscle car if you ask me.
On the contrary, if your car is mainly a track warrior, then the HP gains would obviously be prioritorized.
Check out some local fbod's in your area and/or look on ls1sounds.com to pick out a nice sounding exhaust. I'm sure you won't regret it. Hooker catback here with FLP LT's and ORY= SWEET sounding exhaust. And I am quite picky about my exhaust sounds.

Thats what I thought, but there been some guys posting that a catback would get more power than a dual. Damn haters, Its going to be on with the true duals now.

Sound. As people have said, cat-back systems are going to make similar gains that the only difference between them is their sound. I'd rather have a snarling, loud, mean and ungodly deep exhaust especially vs the most powerful that doesnt sound as good - especially if we're talkin a ~2-5hp difference.

All cat-backs produce similar gains and have similar restriction's on power, so why would you not choose sound. I'd much rather have people say wow your car sounds amazing than for someone to say man your car sounds terrible. And I say well I got 5 extra hp though. Who cares is what they will say.
