GMMG or Borla
Right now I'm stock, but future plans include LTs, ORYs, Header and Cam, so I need something that will sound good throughout the buildup and into the future. Considering everything from sound to flow to appearance. Here's my attempt at beating the dead horse. Just wanted to know how everyone would fall on this one. Thanks.
I have GMMG on my car(with LT's,and CATTED Y!)..I had the Borla on my 96 Z28. I like the GMMG better, but if you are going with an ORY, the Borla may be your best option...with the plates, you can adjust how much exhaust goes out the straight pipe, and how much goes through the muffler. Some people say the GMMG with ORY is TOO loud.
I had the GMMG and ran it without cats for one week and could not take the farm truck sound anymore. Added the cats (FLP's with removeable cats) and it was music. The exhaust is the BEST sounding IMO and was designed to be used with cats. Go to ls1sounds.com and listen to some clips.

Go with the adjustable Borla. If you feel like being quiet all you is throw the restrictor plate on there and you go. Or if you feel like being loud take off the plate. It has about 4 plates to experiment with.
I just sold my Borla in favor of a Hooker catback. With the LT's and ORY, the Borla had WAY too much rasp for my liking. Therefore, I voted GMMG. Never heard a GMMG catback in person, but the clips that I have heard online sound good.
Good luck

Between those two... GMMG. BUT do not forget about Corsa Premium Pro
I've had GMMG and prefer my Corsa on every aspect. Looks, sound, and performance. BTW, my car is heavily modded and running it with LT and ORY... definately LOUD but sounds good. You can always throw in cats to tone it down some.

if you are considering resale value also , GMMG is a good choice as everybody talk so much about them , you could resale in a few hours on ls1tech.com and not loose lots of money
