Default hose routing

I copied the diy catch can setup from the top of the thread, but I tore the boot that the pcv sits in, I unhooked one end of the pcv from the hose that comes from the passenger valve cover, ran a hose from that line onto a fitting on the can, then a hose from the can to the manifold where the pcv hooks into. i left off the pcv since the can has a filter in it, and u need the pcv boot to hook it up to the lines,

Im curious about the fact that you left the PCV thing off. Its there to keep it from sucking through it at WOT.

yeah, 30 bucks total, 24 at home depot and 6 bucks for 3ft of 3/8 hose at pepboys. I already had the plate steel for a bracket, looks just like the gto at the top of the thread. I don't think I use very much iol, but it will be interesting to watch.

i didn't think my car ate much oil - it was never down much at oil changes, plugs were never fouled, and i didn't have oil puddles in my intake like others, but that thing fills up quite quickly

I'm doing the same thing with a Sears filter. Looks the same though. I am waiting on my tower brace from UPS so I can mount it to that. I think I'm gonna just zip tie it to the brace. I'll take pics if anyone wants to see it when its done. Should have the brace on Friday.

Is fa18007's set up correct? I thought it should be hooked into the line above the one fa18007 tapped into?

I don't see a difference where the pcv is located either before the can or after, the can and filter in the can is gonna stop the oil, whatever works, cuz no one can seem to answer that particular location, my car seems to be fine w/o the pcv, but I will ask RPM tomorrow and post back.

Yes, fa1807 is correct, and the guys at RPM said I do not need the pcv at all sinc the can has a filter in it.

Hey Wakerider, can you upload the pic as an attachement on the board? I need to see the bracket again. Thanks!
