BBK 80mm TB anyone? Also on 98s?
BBK 80mm TB anyone? Also on 98s? Does anybody run the 80mm bbk thorttlebody? I am thinking about adding this onto my ls6 intake. How do yall like it? Any issues our problems? I read that there is some modifications needed to run this on a 98 what is involed i also have a ls6 intake without EGR? Also does the spring and linkage wire holder need to be swapped over? And info on this subject would be great Thanks.

I have the BBK 80 mm on my 00 ws6 a4 good seat of the pants feel. Also has a cool hissing sound at idle. And when you get on it you can really hear the air suck into the intake. I think It was a good mod and would tell anyone to get one. any questions just pm me or post up

The gasket between the throttle body and the adapter (in several areas) was protruding ever so slightly into the neck of the throttle body. It was seemingly minimal but it was enough to create a sharp edge for the air to tumble over. The sharp edge of the adapter may have also contributed to the hissing sound. Regardless, I used a fine sanding barrel to smooth the transition from throttle body to gasket to adapter. I have little or no hissing sound now- and mine was pretty loud initially.
