Yes, these won't be overkill for a H/C 346. I wouldn't put them on a bolton only car though. I am gonna try these out for sure. I am gonna order the headers and ORY on Tuesday from SDPC as well as a Hooker catback, TSP Magic Stick, and PRC 2.5 heads from Texas Speed. Just a little xmas present to myself

same with me, headers and y pipe . I just recieved my Centerline Telstar front runners and put tires on them. I already grinded the calipers to clear but have not even put both wheels on the car yet. I think with skinnies ,long tube headers and maybe a light weight battery that I may get closer to my goal

If that dont work, my little 75 shot will put me there

I have had all three. Stay far away from the flowtechs. Junk. Really cheap header and not worth it IMO. Edelbrocks I just sold cause I couldn't get them to fit on the drivers side for the life of me. We have done several and these just wouldn't fit. Nice looking header. I wish it would have worked out for me. I now have the pacesetters. I will put them above the Flowtechs but under the Edelbrocks (even know I didn't get to use them). Fitment was great and I have made great track times with these in addition to my other mods, but just 2 months after they were installed (coated) they started to rust on the passenger side collector. I expected them to show some wear in TIME, not two months. If I was in the market right now (seriously thinking) there is only one that I would get. The new QTP HVMC at the awsome price. Its a proven header over others (SouthFL.02.SS is prof) and I haven never heard one bad thing about them. Some things are just better to pay a little more up front for and be happy, then trying to save a few hundred and kick yourself in the *** later. I have learned the hard way. JMO

^ Yeah, since the recent price reduction of the QTP HVMC's, I really wouldn't buy any other header now.

Was it that the bolt holes wouldn't line up, or did you have steering shaft conflicts? K-member? What was the problem? I'm sorry to hear they didn't work out for you.

The shaft was removed and it appeared to hit the motor mount. It is my daily driver so I had to have another set asap as I was runing around with open headers. I would have had to send the headers back then wait for a replacement. I just couldn't do this so I overnighted the Pacesetters. I have a buddy that is going to try and put them on his car sometime this winter. We will see if we just got tired and didnt't try hard enough or if they just don't fit.

I had the same driver's side header issue with it being too close to the motor mount. I actually had to put a pry bar on it to try and move it. I ended up sending them back to Edelbrock who took care of the problem.

Well that is good news to know that you had the same problem and they took care of you. I just didn't have the time to spare.

Did they give you a new set or refund your money? I want a set but need to know if they resolved these issues.

I would just buy the qtp's if I could get ahold of allan Futral to see if he can get me a y pipe built for them. I am more tehn likely gonna just go with Jethots since I know of no issues with them or the y pipe .

Durien picked up power with swapping out his Jet Hots for QTP HVMC's.
The Mufflex Y that QTP uses is expensive, but by simply using the Flowmaster Scavenger Merge that's crucial to that Y's free flowing characterstics in a custom Y, you should get the same results. The 4" Merge is available at Jegs or Summit.
I think Futral is closed 'till Jan. 1.

I assume all of you that had issues with them have the stock motor mounts? I wonder if it would be an issue with my Spohn solid motor mounts. I am looking to get these for my car soon.

These headers fit my car with no problems at all. I am running a BMR tubular K-member.

I called kris at Scoggin Dickey today and ordered the slip on merge headers and y pipe. he told me that most pepple that have problems (none out of 30 or so sets he sold had problems) found that the motor mounts were weak letting it sag.

Headers and y pipe for $480 , not to shabby at all.

I will be getting retuned by futral once the headers are on and let every one know what it does compared to Macs. plust No Problem raceway will be open up again on wensday Jan 4th so track times will be around the same time.
