SLP LS6 manifold
SLP LS6 manifold I got a good deal on a SLP LS6 manifold the only reason i went with it is because it already comes with the EGR ****. And i only had to pay $330.00. I know plenty of people probably bought this similar one how did the install go and what kind of horsepower did you guys pick up SLP claims 15 i think but thier usually high.
I put mine on when I installed my heads/cam so it was a piece of cake because the old manifold was already off. You just have to cut the EGR tube at the right spot and tighten it into the little fitting and transfer your injectors and fuel rails from the old manifold. Its pretty easy. Cant give you any power numbers because I cant drive it yet until my clutch master arrives.

Second that, if you dont need a emmision test done, ditch the egr. Cleans up the engine bay and LT's will be cheaper with out the emmision provisions. ya i would like to get headers without the EGR so if i have this manifold does that mean i have to buy headers with egr. Or should i just sell this manifold and get a regular one and get the block off plates?? Now im a lil confused i didnt know the egr was such a pain i was just getting it so i dont throw a code to my computer. What do you guys think. Now i need a lil help.

Yes, definitely ditch the intake with the egr provisions, and cut the egr and the air system. Its very simple to do. Also, don't worry about the block-off plates, when you remove the air and egr system, just cut the pipes going to the manifolds, and then pinch them tight. As far as the codes go, there sensors for the egr and air vacuums, and if you plug them back in, you shouldn't throw a code. This is what I did, and I didn't throw any codes. You can also try removing the fuses for the egr and air, that might help as well.

Dude, you don't need to ditch the intake just b/c you don't want to run EGR. Just use a freeze plug to close up the EGR hole on the intake and then buy some block off plates for the EGR provision on your headers (if you have them.... if not, no need for the plates).
If your no worried about emissions I'd get the GM ls6 intake. If you have the slp you could put a block off plate on that. With the exhaust, The whole point of removing the egr and air is to clean up the engine bay. Just cutting off the pipes and pinching them sounds getto and is just going to make a mess. Just remove the both systems and use block off plates untill you get headers. You can turn the codes off with hp tuner or a ls1 shop can do it for you.
OK SO IF I END UP KEEPING THE EGR SYSTEM MANIFOLD WHAT STLY HEADERS DO I HAVE TO BUY I WAS THINKING OF GOING WITH LONG TUBE PACESETTERS DBUT I WANT TO DELETE TEH O2s AND ONLY RUN THE EGR FROM THE MANIFOLD TO THE HEADERS IS THSI OK TO DO.
I have the slp ls6 intake and I have a block off plate on the intake. The egr and air is gone. My intake is all wierd so it looks ghetto. Previous owner put some kind of wierd plug thing in there that I can't get out because it super locktited in there and the bolt is like a 28-29mm. I don't have anything that big. I just put some high temp rtv and cut the bottom of a soda can out to fit. It doesn't look terrible, but it would be nice not to have the egr provision there.
