Default Header install with engine/cradle out?

New motor going in this winter. Pulled motor from the top, possibly looking at dropping the cradle and reinstalling entire assembly from the bottom. Question is, I would like to minimize the install aggrivation of 1 7/8 headers with motors in place, can they be intalled on the motor prior to lifting motor/cradle back into place? Looks to be feasible, but was curious to hear from those who have tried...successful or otherwise. Pics?

Thanks. Brent

If you are reinstalling the moter from the bottom it shouldn't be a problem. When I did my engine swap I did it through the bottom and had my 1 3/4 headers on the engine when I put it back in.

Going through the bottom will work. We have done this and will do it again as soon as Speed Inc. has my motor done.

A set of kooks cleared on my lt1 when I installed everything as one piece from the bottom. so an ls1 should be about the same deal. good luck

my engine is complete w/accesories, belts everything, gearbox, in the Kmember with a-arms, antirrol bar, steering, LESS headders (Im waiting for them).
I shoul lift the car about a meter.
why some are PULLING the engine to instaling, and then lowering a much higher (spelling) weight....
and others are LOWERING the car where the craddle is?
