Default Need C.A.R.B Legal Cats

I'm Having A Problem With Using Stock Cats On A 98 Ls1 Engine. They Obviously Are Restrictive When Using A Supercharger And Nitrous. What Is My Alternative. Need To Stay C.A.R.B Legal.

The only CARB legal cats are the magnaflow/carsound. They are borderline though and probably fall into the gray area. I have the direct replacement ones.

if you want them to still be legal they have to remain in the same position in which they were installed from the factory. I know Random Technonlogy has a set that replace stock cats in the same position.

I called CARB about two years ago and as of then there were no CARB certified replacement cats. That being said, probably 98% of smog techs won't be able to tell the difference visually, as long as they pass the sniffer.

The magnaflow/carsound cats are CARB "compliant" and have an E.O. # for several LS vehicles. I don't believe the f-body has one "yet", but I believe one is in the works.

I talked to Random Technologies and they do make a OBDII converter but it is not a California OBDII legal. In California that is the only issue. I am going to call Magnaflow and see how far out they are if they are indeed making them
