Need a QUIET exhaust...
'98 Trans Am, A4
I've been looking into a heads/cam setup, along with my current stall and some bolt-ons....maybe ordering a set of LT's here pretty soon....
The bad thing is I know with the cam I'm looking at and the LT's the thing is gonna be loud....and I just cant have it like that around where I live. tickets and more tickets....and I already have too many.
I currently have a Magnaflow catback, gutted cats, with stock manifolds...
So it will soon be LT's, gutted cats, and ?????? catback.....
What is the most quiet muffler that there is for this setup...
I have a QTP electric cutout that I'm gonna get installed after the LT's just for the track, but I need something quiet around town....
Anybody???
Thanks

SLP dual/dual is very quiet, even with H/C, LTs, and ORY. Also flows very well. If you search this topic, you'll find many using dual/dual to achieve your goal.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
Where's a good place to put the electric cutout in all this...? I still make many trips to the track...and I want to have a little more power and have some sound there...
I dont even care if I can hear it idling while I'm driving around town, dang local cops...

you can buy my flomaster setup i currently have on my car. Thats infact the reason im getting rid of it. Its too quiet. With quieting it down comes a little bit more restriction also. PM me if your interested i have sound clips.

I've owned/installed/heard almost every common catback used on LS1s, and frankly dual/dual is the quietest.

I've heard stock, Vtech (Flowmaster knock-off) and Hooker. I couldn't tell you the difference between Hooker and Dual/Dual. I also have LTs, no cats and by this afternoon, a cam. I will tell you what it sounds like with my baby cam this evening.
Again, at idle, it is quiter than stock and the Vtech.

See specs in sig.Unless you are really listening, my car sounds stock. It surprises many people when I let it rip. I personally like the sleeper image my exhaust portrays.
