extending the o2
I might just splice into them now. First off, waited to long to order extensions so now there is no way they will arrive in time before I attempt the install, and B. the price for the vette o2's is way to much. Not to mention, I was under the assumption the o2's would start producing voltage at a certain temperature. So the vette o2's would only allow my pcm to get into closed loop faster, not exactly get a more accurate reading, right?
That temperature is pretty high, like 300C+, and
the required temp gets higher as the sensor ages.
600F at the header collector, may or may not be
what you get at idle and low speed street driving.
Lots of headers folks have been, where you are
going.
You can always put good sensors later. When the
car starts running rich at WOT on account of the
fuel trims went to ****, at least you'll know what
to try first.

600F for the stock o2's. By the time I would got WOT they should be at that temp. Either way, like you said, i'll probally end up switching out for new sensor when I save enough. Probally be about the same time I can afford a tune.

Prefabbed are definatley worth the cash, you can usally find them for pretty cheap on EBAY or the boards. I bought mine on EBAY for $30 shipped
