Where can I find a H pipe
I have decide that a H pipe is the right choice for for me. I just don't know where to find one, or would I be better getting a custom one built? Also. I'm thinking 2.5 inch pipe because I'm lowered 1 inch and don't want clearance issues. One more thing, which muffer would you recommend if I am running LTs headers? I want it loud but not too loud where I can't hear myself think. Prices and suggestions for where to get the pipe would be a great help. Thanks for any advice

You can get a 2 1/2" H-pipe kit for $36.95 at Summit. #SUM-642025. However, an X-pipe will be a little bit quieter and help make a little more power.

Yea, the H-pipes tend to have more of a muscle car sound to where the X-pipes sound more like an exotic. The H-pipes I believe pull a little more down low but the X-pipes pull a little more up high. I personally like the H-pipes better but some people like one and some like the other.

The difference in sound is alot different on a 4.6 Ford then it is on a LT1 or LS1. My car actually sounds pretty similar to my friend's 79Z28 with a mild 350 and H pipe with Flowmaster 40's dumped.
