90mm FAST TB sticking
For all those NW and TPIS lovers, I've seen my share of them with their own issues. It's all part of the game......
I haven't had one single problem with it and has continued to work without any issues at all. The fixes are simple and take very little time to do.
When Pacesetter Long Tubes had conflicts with the K-member, they fixed it. When Comp 918's had a bad batch, they fixed them. Apparently, FAST does not give a sh*t about fixing their TB and continues to give the attitude to paying customer who fork over their hard earned money for a high priced TB.
TPIS and Nick Williams are the way to go.
If you're satisfied with your rigged TB, that's good for you. Enjoy it.
Really?!
BUT
then after putting another motor in and putting it on the dyno i noticed that the timing would jump to 34* halfway through a run. put in a new TPS and it went away. dynoed it the next week and it was back. we looked at everything and swapped out every senser trying to fix it. i then thought the FAST shaft might be sticking out too far and ruining the TPS. so i bought a TPIS tb and i was surprised that the shaft was longer. well swapped them out and she is BUTTER now. turns out the shaft on the FAST is too short and would work with a new TPS for a little while but then would start jumping timing everytime you punched it.
**** A FAST TB!

I just put my Mr. Gasket return spring I picked up from the Auto parts store on tonight. I took it for a test drive and it did okay. But I am worried that somehow the cam that the throttle cable rides in is going to hang up on the return spring at some very in-opportune time. Like when I'm spraying nitrous
I'm not to sure how comfortable I am with this spring idea. I'll drive it for a few days and give it hell to see what happens. This timing issue you mentioned, can it be seen with a scanmaster? When were you seeing it jump around?
Thanks,
jeff

Also if i sat there at idle and SLOWLY push on the gas pedal the TPS wouldn't register any movement until about 2500 rpm's.

Well heres one for you. I went ahead and put the return spring on it last night and drove it around last night for a bit and it seemed okay?
I drove it today and put more miles on it and it didnt fix ****. The throttle still hangs up. It is aggrivating as hell with a manual car. But if I had an auto I would be shitting my pants, because it has hung up as high as 3,500rpm. So my deduction is that it "HAS to be" something with the shaft and the TPS. I wanna just throw this SOB in the ocean.

Thats cute!
You think they don't know about their JUNK throttle bodies? they know about it they just won't do anything about it.
never heard from them again.
