Default which is better??

i have found two techniques when porting my own tb, there is the cut one side off of the middle part as shown in picture 1 and 2 OR grinding down between the screws as in picture 3 and 4. would it be ok to cut off the front part and then grind between the back part??

my bo white tb has the cut top and the bottom left alone. looks great too me and im sure its not going to cause enough of a restriction to cause an issue.

Cablebandit is running a twin turbo set up on one of my TBs and its good to go. I have also done testing of my own on how durable the half shaft mod is and let me put it to ya this way- I had to bow up on it to break it with my hands and Ive gotta grip good enough for 150 lbs or better. One thing Ive always done though is use #6 washers under the screws to reinforce them since the head design is tapered to fit the front half of the shaft and since that is gone now I use them to spread the load out more evenly . Also another tip is to use Loctite 262 on the threads when you assemble it back together .

I found this to be something that is hard to pass up when one of mine was half backed out when I swapped TB's.

Only a flowbench could see a difference with doin that(porting back part of the shaft after halfshaft), and maybe not even enough to speak of.

Speaking of flowbenches, with all these porting threads and all the various availableTB bore sizes, is there flow data to be had for any of them?

Not yet. JRP has a couple of ported TBs that he was going to have tested but I think it was put on a back burner so he could get his ride back going again(one of them is one of mine).
