Most people run one Cutout in the I-pipe right before the rearend. You could do one on each side of the y-pipe. But you will loose alot of ground clearance plus the cutout's will cost you double. As for the emissions you will have to either get O2 sims for the rear sensors. Or have someone turn them off with Hptuner's or Ls1edit etc. I'm going to give you fair warning on LT's ORY and LM. It is very loud. If you drive your car everyday it will get annoying. I've had my headers on 3 days and have drove about 150miles and I'm annoyed. Now if I didn't drive my car everyday I would keep it. But since I do I'm going to get a Hooker catback. With a E Cutout in the I-pipe. That way I can me loud when I want. But exhaust is very subjective. You might like it. Most of my buddys like mine but I don't. Just like they say "To each his own"

the shop putting them on said they will tune it or whatever so it wont through any codes and i wont need o2 sims or sensors and what not, whats the differance between the race style pacesetters and the others? if i get the race style then the shop will tune so i dont need o2 sims?...im lost in all this, all i know is i gotta order before the sale is over

yeah ive read that its gonna be loud as ***** so i plan on getting a borla bullet in place of the slp, i just dont know what kind to get

1 cutout is plenty.

This is from JRP's sticky -

Loudmouth: LM is a love/hate exhaust, it sounds great on stock manifolds with few bolts on's. When you start adding LT's and ORY's it shows its ugly side. LM + ORY + LT = rasp and drone. Try and listen to various LM setups in person to know what your getting into. Time after time people get LM and end up swapping it out since they get tired of its annoyances. To reduce the rasp and drone you have a few options; install some cats, replace the resonator with a real muffler, or install a 12-18" dynomax bullet. This setup is referred to Dynomouth; Borlamouth is of the same concept but with Borla xr-1 mufflers.

Yes and no.

If you go in a polish them up every once in a while they will last you a long time. They are never going to rust through, its just surface rust. They will definitely out last the life of your car.

I am glad that I went with coated Pacesetter's. Very little rust after almost a year...just clean them up every now and then. Also stay out of the rain/snow!!!! That will really rust them up. If thats a concern then you need to go with stainless steel.

Race headers do not have the AIR and EGR hookups like the factory manifolds have. Then they make headers that do have the hookups. My headers do but I'm using block off plates to seal them up because I removed all that crap. If the shop can tune out the rear O2s then you won't have to have the sims.

If you're getting a Loud mouth exhaust you don't need 2 cut outs. The loud mouth will be loud as hell as it is. Personally, I think one cut out would be more than adequate.

Why not get a quiet cat back and a cut out so you can have the best of both worlds?
