Default air injection Question

i just bought pace setter lt's.i ordered them with the emissions and they arrived today without emissions.. i know that the comput will throw codes like 8 of them without the air hooked up.. as far as the egr i don't know how that works. do the race style headers not have a place for the egr? i would assume not but how do i go about everything if i were to keep the race style and not wait another week to get the other ones. is it okay to drive the car with the codes on.... i just installed nitrous 100 shot and i want everything to stay together nicely.. thansk josh 2000 ls1

You can use the race headers you just have to have a tuner in your area turn offf the egr and cats features on the car then tune it for the long tube headers and don't get crazy with timing if you are going to use nos

i know that it will throw codes and i would eventually have to get it tuned but will it hurt the engine to run with codes on.. also keep in mind that i would be running nos with the setup.. im wondering if the computer would lean or rich to add timming or cut timming .. anything to throw something apart.. please help.. thanks josh

I have had my egr & air removed for months now, SES light came on instantly without egr valve hooked up. I ignore it until I can get the codes removed.

No problems at all, car runs great as a matter of fact.

wont harm performance neither your engine its only the ses light that must be removed by a tuner.

Other than the SES light coming on, no difference whatsoever.
