Default Quality Pacesetter welds!

Yeah right. This is right out of the box, brand new. I now have to pay more to ship it back to speed inc. Mike seems real cool and wants to do whatever he can to help remedy the situation, but I mean you gotta be shittin me for pacesetter to even let this leave their facility! Not to mention the slag I'll have to smooth out on other parts of the flange. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...76_10_full.jpg

I have had pacesetters on my car last year, and have installed quite a few on friends cars, and have never seen any look like that. It sucks that it happened to you, but one out of how many sets isn't bad.

Everybody makes mistakes. they sell hundreds of headers so they didn't grind that one weld down.no need to make a huge deal out of it. I've installed dozens of Pacesetter headers and have never had a problem.
Hell one guy on heres Kooks came with out the velocity spike in the header, just a huge hole where its supposed to be.

Sorry. I apologize for that. It was related to a thread about several bad cams from a sponsor, and the thread was closed. Didn't want this one to be shut down also. It seems when some people speak their minds on the internet about a bad purchase, others take offense.

I'm NOT saying to anyone "don't buy Pacesetters because of this incident" by any means. I plan on getting things fixed/replaced and still using Pacesetters. I picked them after alot of research on this site mainly for their price, quality, and performance. I know there are **** loads of these things flying out their door and they can't catch every single LITTLE thing, but still someone had to grab them from a coating oven, put them in plastic then into a box, with the other side. At some point someone should say "hey, 8 primary tubes, are the welds cool?" And I'm sure the weld probably looked "good enough" before it was coated and it released after the thermal cycle from coating. I didn't look like there was very much, if any, penetration into the flange material. I saw it 20 seconds out of the box. Maybe it's just me. If there's .01% chance of **** going wrong, it'll happen to me. Maybe I should have labelled the thread "look at my shitty luck again with my new LTs".
