long tube header install ?

I am going to be ordering longtubes tommarow and I was wondering a few things.

I have a 00 ta and I will be getting the race style pacesetters which delete egr and air. I know that I will throw a few codes but will this effect drivability? The car is a daily driver so I cant have the car acting up on me. I will be getting a tune as soon as I can but will I be fine until the tune? Thanks for the help in advance.

From what I hear you will be fine. Just try and get the tune as soon as possible.

You'll need o2 sensor extensions. Don't forget those.

Shouldn't have driveability issues but you will throw codes. You can either tune them out or live with them.

Get 02 extensions, are you keeping your cats? If not, you can get sims for the rear sensors. If you don't its okay, it will throw a code, but will not hurt performance at all. As for egr and air, again a code will be thrown, but will not change performance of the car. You really don't have to be in a huge hurry to get those tuned out, just get it done when you get it dyno tuned.

I am going to get rid of the cats also. I am going to order the extensions to but not the o2 sims. I just plan to have all of the codes taken out when I get a tune but just wanted to be sure that I can get by. I appreciate all of the help.

I think that the O2 sensor extensions come with the race style Pacesetters, When I ordered mine from Byunspeed, they did (been a while back). Check with your vendor when ordering. Also, plan on taking the AIR pump and plumbing out of the car, you definitely won't need it, and it cleans up the engine bay. Also, check your O2 sensors when you do your install. I put long tubes on when my car had 29,000 miles, and didn't change the sensors. Months later I swapped them out for new ones and got 2 tenths faster in my 1/4 mile time (went from 12.35 to 12.17).
