Summit sells a dynomax aluminized I pipe, and SLP sells a stainless steel I pipe.

Get the SLP Y-pipe that mates up to stock manifolds.

Tons of people run LT's on lowered cars. I wouldn't let that stop me. Just don't buy the SLP's. You have an 02', so shorties are basically a waste of money and will do almost nothing for you. Just get a y-pipe if you REALLY want one, but be aware that it won't really do anything for performance either.

EDIT: I just realized that you already have gutted cats, so let me rephrase that. A y-pipe will do nothing for you performance wise.

you're only going to want lontubes in the future, so save some money now and do it right the first time...You can get some coated LT's for under 400$, so cost shouldn't be that big a deal...

With stock manifolds and muffler, the only thing it's gonna wake up is the sound a little bit. It will sound a little deeper. At that point in the game, the stock Y isn't a restriction and won't do anything for power. If anything, going with a 3" y-pipe, with stock manifolds and catback, will just slow down exhaust velocity and might even drop power.

so going from just ceramic shortys, and the rest stock exhaust... to shorty's, no cats, MAC Y pipe, and 3" I pipe to 3" Magnaflow exhaust... (remember this car is a 98) you guys are saying i wont see much of an increase? and that i would loose power??

kinda find that hard to believe... really hard..

and basically you're saying you cant make power unless you have long tubes and true duals?? come on now..

(i was refering to RedNeckZ's comments)

I was referring to the original poster who already has gutted cats. He has an 02' so going to shorties will do almost nothing. Next, going to an offroad pipe when he already has gutted cats will do almost nothing. Plus he wants to run this with his stock catback. All those changes will basically do nothing for performance.

You on the other hand should gain a couple hp from an offroad pipe, and a few more with the bigger I pipe.
