Default K.I.S.S. loose plug

I have had a noise for some time now. I have been thinking bad lifter, bad rocker, bad injector , even piston slap. Anyway I have been living with it. Yesterday I had to change the thermostat. After the job was done I started it up and watched it closely. I saw the # 7 wire jump in time the the sound. I checked all plugs and found #5 and #7 were loose. #7 was spitting out compression. I fixed it. It now runs super smooth quiet with more power! Just a word to the wise from a fool!

Glad it was something as simple as a plug wire.

You know, it actually sounds like one or two of my plugs might be loose...I'm going out to check them now...AFTER it cools down

I've had a loose #8 before, and it definitely sounded like an exhaust leak. We'll see what we have this time around...

Sometimes we are so high tech and and too smart for our own good. We forget the basics. I felt like a moron when I found the problem.
