Default A question about an ORY pipe

Just curious about something. I punched the throttle tonight and notice a bunch of smoke in the headlights of the car behind me. I've also had others tell me when I really get on it the car smokes a bit. Now it's nothing huge but I've never had a car with no cats before. Is that most likely the reason? I never smoked before the headers/ORY/tune.

The car runs great and all...was just wondering if the lack of cats had something to do with the smoke.(this wasn't white smoke or anything)

Not sure if what I typed made any sense the other night(it was late)

Basically my question is has anyone notice a little bit of smoke at WOT after taking off the cats? I'm sure this is common but I want to be sure.

yup, you will notice a little dark stuff, its just the uncleaned exhaust, ever notice the exhaust smell since you removed cats, my car blows a litttle tiny bit of black when on the dyno

I notice the exhaust smell at times but my tuning guy did a job so it's not bad.

Glad to hear the smoke is normal

Yeah, it's just a little carbon buildup. Give it hell more often and it will keep it cleaned out.

You want to see smoke, try getting behind a car with a carb (and no cats) when the guy punches it
The little smoke you're noticing is perfectly normal, when you had cats, they cleaned up the exhaust, now you don't have them, the smoke will be noticable
