DIY cooling fan switch

I'm not buying an SLP switch for $80, so I'd like to do my own. I'd like low/high/pcm with led capibilities. I just searched and came up with old threads with a ton of dead links.

Any good write ups out there?

Try a search on Google and see what you come up with. I think that's where I found it before. It's pretty easy to do much more enjoyable than spending $80 to plug one in.

regardless of what setting the switch is on the computer will always have control over the fans, just fliping the switch will send false signal to the computer to turn the fans on... or the other way around... either way you get the point...
