Pace setter headers slide in easy ones I've installed had good clearances and no griding of the K-member is needed only thing I saw that I didn't like is the pass side collector was super close to the heat sheild! But there easy as crap to put in ya got to take your dip stick out and plugs also if ya take ya coil packs off its worlds easier and make taking the plugs out a world of difference have for and enjoy your new sound!

If your doing it from the ground make sure to get that **** as high up as possible. The driver side will be a PIA, just slide it in with the collector facing straight down if you can and slide and manuever it in. Good luck.

be sure to spray some penetrating oil on the manifold bolts the night before, it will make it a lot easier to get them off.

do the pacesetters come with instructions already, is it really necisary to remove or unbolt the trans, and approximately how long would it take.

they come with instructions, we had to remove the coil packs, plugs, heat shield, dip stick, and i think thats all. The passenger side was a pain in the ***, but the drivers side wasnt too bad.

I like the remove the valvecovers when i do them.

Make sure you have an impact ready for the cat to manifold bolts. You are going to have at least one of them break the hell off, but dont sweat it.

I went out and bought a 1/4" drive air ratchet, i can remove all of my header bolts with it once they are broken loose

Finished installing my pacesetters yesterday. Easy as cake man. The only clearancing I had to do was on the casting block. The hardest part of the whole ordeal was gettig the old exhaust components off.

It will be cake on a lift. I did a set of PS LT's,Y,Hooker Catback, Racetronix PNP Fuel Pump, Plugs Removed all old exhaust and had to go have the I pipe on the Hooker exhaust expanded, all in 6 hours. That was 3 guys also though. I didn't remove valve covers or coils or anything like that, only what had to come off. That also includes fixing the banging Y pipe and #8 plug wire that is a pain to get back on. That was on an 01.

Texas Speed has the Ypipe/Cats for $349. My question is, DO you need the 02 Extenders for this install??

We're getting ready to install a set of these on little bro's 2002 SS. I've pulled my LGM headers off my C5 so many times, I don't think doing this one will be that hard... I also have a lift inhouse, so that will help.

Mike

you need extension for the front O2's the TSP catted Y does NOT have bungs for rear O2's you either need to have them welded on or get O2 sims. if you get them welded in I think you might need extensions for the rear. But I Am not sure

I just finished mine tonight(pacesetter lts)... Went pretty smooth i had to jack the motor a little to get the drivers side in, But besides that it just takes time but itsnt too hard, the hardest part was the elec. cutout clearence.
