Default Air pump removal?

When i installed my headers i took off the air but the pump is still down there. The hose looks like **** just sittin there, is there anything I should know if im going to remove it. Should I even remove it at all and if so how?

There's an article on how to !AIR it at http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=70 Pump has about 4 bolts holding it on if you want to remove a little weight, or just remove the hose. Since you already removed your air you shouldn't get any (new) codes.

so removing th a.i.r wont set any codes off? i know egr removal will....

You should see some AIR codes, find someone who will
kill them for cheap. The removal is simple although you
will probably want some 3/8" extensions and a u-joint,
and one open-end (all 10mm I think).
