Longtubes and GMMG
Since the search button sucks now and isn't pulling up anything, and my dial up won't let me listen to ls1sounds.com....Who has the gmmg with longtubes? I've got the gmmg CB on the way and am considering QTP LT's w/cats. Living in CA I don't want to attract too much negative attention. Would adding LT's to my already heads/cam and gmmg be super loud? Would it be loudmouth and offroad pipe loud? Would it sound very raspy? I know this is pretty subjective, but any input will help. Thanks.

I have GMMG with Kooks LT's, catted Y and stock cam and it sounds great. At WOT, it is louder than my friend's LT1 355 that has a good size cam, Hooker LT's, ORY, and 4" Mufflex. I have heard GMMG with an ORY and it is really loud. I def. put cat's on to keep the noise down.

I've Kooks lts through the catted y and back to the gmmg. It's quite loud and agressive with the stock cam and it's even more so with the MS3 installed. It's an enjoyable loud though, it never gets annoying to me. Too bad I'm selling the gmmg and catted y for the sake of power gains .

GMMG + LT's = loud, no matter how you slice it. But its a very clean sound, especially with cats. I think it will draw attention, but not negative (well, any noise to some cops will get their attention)
It is very subjective, but I think if you get cats, a cammed car w/ lt's and gmmg will make you smile

After headers(stainless works)

You can decide this is with high fow cats and man it sounds awesome.

I gotta say that I just installed Kooks LT's w/cats and a GMMG catback and I get considerable rasp around 2-3k rpm under moderate to heavy throttle. Other than that, the setup sounds great. I'm thinking the reason I get the rasp is because I'm using Kooks' new metallic cats, which are almost like having no cats since they flow so well.

Do you have a soundclip?

Why dont you just mate your current y-pipe/cats up to the headers when they get there? I have the magnaflow cats on my car now with 3" duals. They made the car incredibly quieter.
This option is much cheaper and will flow + reduce the noise great. The flowmaster merge is also a very nice piece.
Any reason you are looking to get rid of it?

That is an option. It kind of depends on what LT's I get and where I have it done. I'm not really looking at getting rid of the y-pipe/flowmaster merge though....I'm just trying to get an idea of how loud longtubes will make my gmmg.
