Thanks for the info 300, true I doub't i'll be able to hear much since I have a borla but sound under the hood while its poped is still nice i'll probly order a random lid here in a bit.

Any induction noise made will only occur at WOT, at idle the throttle body blade will be shut and very little air flow will be going thru the intake system by comparison.

If you really want a nice sounding induction setup it'll cost, but it looks great and performs even better.

Not true. My FIPK at idle is very loud, even with the hood shut. Of course it depends on the rest of your mods on how much it "sucks".

In Theory, if your air intake "whistles", would it not mean it's probably not getting enough air? (Think about breathing through your mouth). If this is true, then wouldnt the "loudest" air intake be the worst one?

That I can beleive my friend had a K&N kit on one of his cars and it made a really nice sound. It wasn't a whistle though, just a real nice growl under load. In fact it was louder than his exhaust!!! And better sounding too, but it was a V6.

use to have the k&n fipk on my 99 non ram air t/a and it definately made a difference.. if you rev it you can hear the suction and from inside the car it growls
