Default new Holley TB

What do you guys think about these new Holley throttle bodies? They come in 80 and 90mm sizes, and they look pretty nice. If anyone has one, how is it?

They are very nice. Ball bearings on the shafts, teflon coated spring, all billet. The shafts are slotted. The mounting face is even angled so that your intake tube goes on the same way.

$449.99 from Speed Inc. for both sizes. Definitely not worth it IMO. Looks purdy but for 1/6 the price you could have close to if not the same performance from New Era's ported throttle bodies. Great looking product though!

Do these new era TBs bolt to the Fast 90mm manifold with the 4 bolt flange?

That's $75 assuming that you have a 90mm to exhange if your putting on a 90mm intake. I'm probably going to be using the Nick Williams 90mm ($419)right now but I could try the Holley. ....Oh that's with the Fast 90mm intake, AFR 205 heads + custom cam. Little winter project I'm planning.

You can't go wrong with the Nick Williams 90mm TB. It's a very nice peice, and works flawlessly. The Holley TBs look good, but (it may just be me) the opening looks a little restricted compared to the NW 90. The Nick Williams 90mm TB has been proven to work great, unlike the FAST 90mm TB which is a piece of ****. Not saying that the Holley 90mm TB would have problems like the FAST 90mm TB does, but considering that it is new to the market I wouldn't want to be their test-mule.

i temporarily had a holley on my car for testing only.it worked great, especially compared to my p.o.s fast.it is around 3/8 inch or so longer than my fast so the air lid didn't slide all the way back with the smooth bellow but alittle trimming would take care of that.i would definitely buy one!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained..... it looks nice but who knows. I would stick with the NW 90mm TB...no issues and well worth the $419.

The only thing that sticks out in my head yet is that little "twist" cut into the side that is suppose to help part thottle and idle. If you blow up the picture of the Holley 90mm you will see a bit of a twist cut into the side so air can slip around it at part thottle and help out the loss of low end on a Fast intake which they are noted for. Unless I am seeing things

I am thinking about getting a Jegs price matched one from Speedinc and look it over and then if I don't like it, just return it for the NW.

What to do, what to do..., still have a couple of months before spring so guess I have time... It is nice to have 0 balance on the ole credit card this month anyway...

Your not seeing things. These throttle bodies have a small lip that is machined into the entry that gives them stock like drivability at part throttle. There was a TON of work that went into the design of these things and you guys won't be disappointed.

I'm gonna pick up the 80mm one for sure. Been waiting on Holley to put this out for a while. Guess I'll go to the site that rhymes with Legs.....
