MAF ends????

hey guys a quick question im lookin into maf ported and polished ends is this a mod that affects the maf in a negative way???? ive read alot of people saying say away from the maf, so my question is, is this considered the same game a stay away from mod???? if not is it worth 50.00 for a set or can i obtain the same thing porting and polishing my stockers on my owen. Any help with this delema would be greatly accepted.

For these LSx cars, it seems as though there's practically only 2 options. No maf (speed density tune) and the stocker. I'd just polish up your stock one if you want it to look better.
