I have had pacesetters on my car since summer of '04, I have not had a bit of problems with them, install wasn't bad, they are showing a very small sign of rust on the bottom of the drivers side collector, but I live in wisconsin and our roads usually have salt on them until april, so i am sure some got on there, even though i store it for winters. Other than that I have no complaints, and you can't beat the price for what you are getting.

I have done 35 plus header installs around the ATL.(check my rep in the Southern section) and by far the Pacesetters have consistantly been the most trouble free of all to install. Hell I only charge 200.00 for their LT's & y pipe in most cases. The Flowtechs are a major PIA to install!! I wont do another set of those ever again for under 400.00 bucks.

The pacesetter's are a really improved piece, I have had them on my car for 2 months and couldn't be happier. As far as the Flowtech's I've heard they aren't that good, must be a reason you have them on special . Just go with Pacesetter easy install in my garage with basic hand tools, just getting it high is the toughest part. They sound great and I've gotten loads of compliments.

I have had two diff LS1 cars. The first car I went with the Flowtechs. They went in easy enough for me. I had no problems during the time I ran them before I got rid of that car for the m6 I have now.

On my current car I went with the Pacesetters and I can tell you that they are a better made piece. The flanges are thicker and the welds are better. When I torqued the bolts down on the Flowtechs the flange distorted a bit, the Pacesetters didn't flex at all.

The Pacesetters also tuck under the car a little better too for a little more ground clearance.....although I had no problems with either header as far as clearance goes.

My opinion is get the Pacesetters...hands down.

I have the pacesetters the install was long only because it was my first install. I have had them for almost a year and no problems. I would recommend a tune after the fact. My headers have never hit ground with the prokit too. Just get good gaskets and everything will be fine.

Good gaskets would be the stock metal ones.....just reuse them. I have done that on all installs. My two and my buddies, works great. Most people reuse the stockers.

My Z28 is lowered about 2" with Eibach Sportlines and I have no clearance issues. Neither the flange on the Hookers, nor the install presented any difficulties for me.
