Default catch cans? question real easy

ok im gonna try to catch can approch to oil consumption and see how it works out, now do i run 2 catch can one for the pcv valve line and 1 in the beather line that goes into the TB or just on the pcv line, i wasnt sure if the TB line sucked or pushed air from the TB oh and another thing do u guys keep the pcv valve in there when u use a catch can or take it out, is it really needed when u have the can

I only used 1 like most people. Mine is between the pvc valve and the intake. I used the cheapo approach using an air compressor filter and it works great, but needs to be emptied regularly.

You only need 1 inbetween the mani neck and the PCV valve. That connection sucks in air (and oil) from the valve covers.

That's what I did. It catches a good bit of oil. I have to empty it almost once a week. It's about 1/4 full when I dump it out.

Actually at the same time I installed it I switched to 5W40 and it's still empty. There is a teeny bit starting to creep into the line just passed the PCV tho. I think the function is all the same, it's just a matter of capacity. The AWM can ($160) has a chamber inside with some steel wool material to catch absolutely everything but hey...too much for a can.

Here's my AMW I just installed on my 2000 LS1 Corvette..

Tubing goes from PCV valve to TOP of the can, then
run tubing from SIDE of can INTO INTAKE...
Very simple!
