Default Finished my header install!!!

I finished the header install this morning. I expected it to be a pain in the *** but it was really easy. The entire install and the y-pipe only took 4 hours. Hell I even changed the spark plugs. Granted I had access to all kinds of tools and a lift. My father helped me out and everything went really smooth. The only problem is the y-pipe bangs. It feels like a something grinding when I let the clutch out which I assume that is the pipe vibrating off the floor. Will a piece of heater hose work for now till I can get the bump stop from Thunder Racing? I don't really want the hose to melt or anything. Will it melt? Anyway, the car sounds awesome and it has a lot better throttle response. Only wish I could have left it open headers. Now that is awesome!!!! I really havent got on it hard yet to see if there is a seat of the pants diffrence. All I have to say is Pacesetters install rocks!!!
Thanks to everyone for the advise and help given in my selection!

The ground clearance is great. I actually gained clearance over my Mac ORY-pipe and stock manifolds. But like I said, I still need to do a little more work with it since it is banging pretty bad. I just put a piece of heater hose i there where it hits and now there is a bad vibration because it is like solid between the pipe and the floor.

I agree. If you can lower the y-pipe, I'd do that first. You don't want to have to engineer up something that could potentially catch on fire, or something that could work loose and fall off when you're at the dragstrip.

I have the much-hated (so it seems) SLP LT's, Speed Inc. Race pipes, and SLP Y-Pipe. The ground clearance is decent (my car isn't lowered), and the Y-Pipe doesn't rub anywhere.

A piece of heater hose will work. Best bet is to clearance the floorpan right where its bumping and install some poly motor mounts which should have been done while the exhaust was off.

Yeah, I didn't weld it, I used 3 in band clamps. I am gonna put it on the lift again monday afternoon and see if I can loosen it and re-adjust it a little to help the banging. Shouldnt be that big a deal.
