Default removing tb blade when porting

Is it a must to remove the tb blade when you port the tb? the reason i ask is because if all you are doing is removing the "bump" in front of the opening then why could you not just mask off the blade and port in front of it, it seems easier. and that way you would not have to dissasemble and reassemble the tb. I'm afraid that if i take it apart i wont be able to get it back together lol, is it that hard? thanks!

If you take the blade out, make sure you do not cut anything off the area where it seals.

well you should clean really well both ways, leaving the blade in really helps as a guide to keep you from cutting too far it, i even knicked my blade a few times cuz i was using a crazy *** aluminum cutting but and it did no harm

It's very simple to dissasemble the TB completely. Just do what you feel comfortable doing. If your gonna do the half shaft mod as well then that blade has to come out and your gonna have to remove the entire shaft.
