bad things about pacesetters painted LTs
just wondering,
a friend told me, that it was not worth it getting the painted pacesetters LTs and was better to spend the extra 100 or so for coated one
he said that it would hurt perf and raise temperature in the engine bay
so is there really a performance gap , oh and I dont care if the painted one will be trash in 2 years, or if paint chips...
thanks

Well the coated ones will not put off as much heat as the painted ones but I dont think there is a performance gap by any means. I love my Pacesetters (painted) but if I could go back, I personally would have bought the coated primarily for looks.

I'm sure u know u'll get more hp and tq with a set that is designed like QTP but pacesetters are hard to beat for the price. The coating is not just about the looks, it does help keep temps down in the engine bay...by how much I would only be guessing.
