I can get a great deal on a unused early run FAST 90 TB. They had issues what do i need to make sure it doesn't stick? I need to change the spring too no?

Most people seem to agree that the trash is the best cure.

JUST PUT another return spring on it. problem fixed.
.25c fix.
not all of can afford the $400+ fix of replacing the TB.

The shaft coming out of the TB that goes into the TPS is too short. i put my car together and went to dyno it. it kept jumping timing to 34* half way thru the run. we dynoed it many times trying to figure out what was doing it. we thought it was a tunning problem. The TSP showed 100% at WOT and 0% at idle just like it should so i didn't think it was that. Just out of no wherei put in a new TPS and poof it went away. i was happy .
BUT then on a HOT TEXAS summer day while i was at the track at the end ofthe sixth or seventh run my motor detonated, knoched a chunk out of #7 piston and cracked the cylinder lining. I had accidently left 87 octane in it that day and thought that was what blew my motor. But after i get a new motor and have everything perfect go back to dyno it again and it is STILL doing it! The TPS was reading 0 % at idle and 100% at WOT so no one thought that was the problem, hell it was a new TPS. But as i sat there on the dyno i SLOWLY started to give it some throttle and it would be at 2,500 rpm's before the TPS would read any change. I thought it HAD to be the TB. Put in a TPIS 90mm and now as soon as i touch the throttle the TPS registers right away. and no more jumping to 34* half way during a run.
Turns out the shaft is too short on the FAST and it doesn't reach far enuff into the TPS.
