i wouldnt descreen it (or take out my filter at the track) just because i have the kind of luck that if i d something will **** it up and im too poor to replace the motor now. but i think its only worth 2 hp or something, just do the tb bypass mod, probly make more power without risking an important part of your motor

if your not willing to take any risks youll be running 12s forever.
risk is part of the game.
i already have TB bypass.

Descreen it. Seriously. This is something that will always cause debate.

If you are willing to take risks, the risk involved in doing this is most definitely screwing up your tune. If you can live with that, then have at it. We do have the technology to tune around this though.

Ive seen and heard nothing good about SLP MAFs. Unless you have it tuned for that MAF, it will screw up your car. Just what I know from experience

Descreening it just means it flows 150-200cfm more. If you are the person tuning your car feels it will be useful, then do it

If your going to have it tuned AFTER you put it on it doesn't matter what MAF you run. the problem everyone and their mom cries about is putting the MAF on and NOT getting it tuned right after. THAT could **** with your A/F ratio.

The people that say the screen is there for a reason are the same people that say cats are there for a reason, and they're running 13's. Descreen it.

Better yet, do away with the MAF totally. Get a speed density tune.

I'm running a stock descreened MAF. When I upgrade to a 90mm intake, I'll be using a descreened 85mm.
