From my understand it's basically BS. Sure there is theory behind the madness. It's to do with the rpm range the headers are tuned to work with. And when a system is claimed to be tuned it usually means all the primaries are with in say 1/2" of each other. But what you don't know is if they are the correct length to begin with or whether all the primaries are now wrong.
